Go-ahead for 61 new homes in Mayo county town

PLANS for a 61-unit housing development at Garryduff in Castlebar have received the green light from Mayo County Council.

Developers Wyckam Limited propose building a mix of residential units consisting of 17 two-storey detached houses, 24 two-storey semi-detached houses and 20 two-storey terraced houses, providing for six two-bedroom, 14 three-bedroom and 41 four-bedroom homes on completion.

The project plans also include the continuation of a new internal access road from an adjacent development.

The site area is 2.434 ha and is bounded to the north by Knights Park, with Garryduff Drive to the south.

Twenty-four conditions are attached to the grant of permission.
