Funeral of much-loved young Mayo woman who died in Spain

The funeral arrangement have been announced of Shannen Frances Chambers Derryharriff South, Castlebar, whose death occurred in Spain.

Deeply loved daughter of Frank and Caroline, the deceased will repose at Coady Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 until 7 o' clock followed by removal to her home.

Removal from her home on Friday at 10 a.m. to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar arriving at 10:30 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11 a.m.

Shannen is also deeply mourned by her sister Nicola, brother Ross, grandparents Mick and Maureen Kilcoyne (Snugboro), Bridie Chambers (Newport), nephew Jacob, aunts and uncles, 51 first cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.

Shannen was predeceased by grandfather Johnny Chambers and uncle Liam Chambers.

Fond tributes have been paid to her on social media.

One stated: "She was such an incredible person, always with that infectious laugh of hers.

"We had such great memories and adventures in Snugboro scouts growing up together."

Another said: "Shannen could always bring laughter and joy to even the simplest of things.

"I feel grateful to have grown up with such a gorgeous person."

A further tribute observed: "A smile that brightened up every room and a laugh that was truly contagious."
