Mayo community grieving death of much-loved personality Berni Kilboyle
The death of Berni Kilboyle (née Heneghan), Newtown, Clogher, Claremorris, has evoked an outpouring of sadness and loss in the community.
Berni died suddenly at University College Hospital Galway earlier this week.
Predeceased by her father Mick Heneghan and mother-in-law Mary Kilboyle, she is deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband James, adored daughter Emma and son Aiden, her devoted mother Mary Ann, uncles Tom, Dermot and Jim, aunts Sheila and Kathleen, father-in-law Seamus, nephews,cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, work colleagues, wonderful neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.
A nurse by profession, she was attached to the Mayo Mental Health Services where she was held in high regard for her dedication and compassionate nature.
A tribute on the Facebook page of Clogher Heritage Centre stated: "As chair and vice chair of our local heritage group, we worked side by side and became the closest of friends.
"She was passionate, dedicated, kind and always willing to give her time to our community.
"Her enthusiasm and commitment helped us achieve so much together in the village and the wider community, and her contribution will never be forgotten.
"As a village and as a community, we will wrap our arms around her husband, children, mother, extended family members, and all who loved her, and support them in every way we can during the difficult days ahead.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her husband, children, mother, extended family members, and all who knew and loved her.
"Thank you, our dear friend, for your friendship, your laughter, and everything you did for our community.
"May you rest in peace."

Remains reposing at Clogher Community Centre on Sunday evening from 5 until 7 p.m.
Requiem Mass on Monday in Ballintubber Abbey at 11am with the funeral proceeding to Shannon Crematorium for committal service at 4 p.m.
