Fond Mayo tributes to much-loved Rose Kirby on her passing
Fond tributes are being paid to Rose Kirby (née Crowley), Ballynew House, Castlebar, and late of Carey’s Cross, Bandon, Co. Cork, whose death has taken place.
She died unexpectedly on Friday in the care of the wonderful staff in Galway Clinic, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Kathleen, she is sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Tony, adored sons Tadhg and Danny and beloved daughter Clare (Kerins), brothers Dan and Charlie, sisters Phil (Lyons, Sydney), Mary (Crowley, Cork), Kay (Bambury, Cork), Pat (Essex, Cork) and Chris (Healy, Cork), daughters-in-law Dee and Claudia, son-in-law Seán, granddaughter Isabelle, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved family on their loss.
The high esteem and regard in which Rose, a nurse by profession, was held is reflected in the many tributes being paid to her on social media.
One said: "I had the great pleasure of working with Rose in Castlebar. I will remember her so fondly. I recall she speaking so lovingly about her children and family.
"She was a super gardener and kindly shared many cuttings of different flowers and plants with me which still flourish in my garden today."
"Rose was always such a warm person and always in the moment when you spoke to her," another stated.
Family and close friends may call to the Kirby residence on Sunday from 5 p.m.
Rose will then repose at Coady’s Funeral home, Castlebar, on Monday from 5 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to her residence.
Removal from her residence on Tuesday morning at 10.45 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in Ballintubber Abbey
Rose will be laid to rest afterwards in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
