Mayo SPCA fundraiser raises €3,500
The Mayo SPCA would like to thank everyone who supported their recent fundraising event in Julian’s of Midfield where a staggering €3,500 was raised for the society.
On the night, a brilliant John Molloy Country concert was held at the venue, as well as a fundraising raffle which offered an array of excellent prizes which were generously donated by local supporters and businesses.
The success of this fundraiser night was thanks to the hard work of a dedicated team of volunteers at Mayo SPCA. Organiser Kathryn Gavaghan was praised for her superb coordination, alongside Ann Shiel for her tireless efforts behind the scenes. A special word of thanks was also extended to Catherine Hannon for her expert promotion, support, and guidance in the lead-up to the event.
For the Mayo SPCA, these funds represent vital resources for the ongoing rescue and rehabilitation of animals across the county. “Our animals so deserve this,” a spokesperson said. “We are their voices, and seeing the community come together like this is truly overwhelming.”
The proceeds will go directly toward the care of rescues currently awaiting their forever homes, such as Bertie, a friendly three-year-old Pomeranian currently available for adoption.
