Whale-watching events to take place at two Mayo locations

The annual All-Ireland Whale Watch Day takes place next Saturday, May 23, from 5 to 7 p.m.

This year marks the 24th year that the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) has run this fantastic nationwide event.

In Mayo, there two land-based whale watching locations where members of the public can attended:

* Benwee Head Car Park, Kilcummin

* Ashleam Viewing Point, Atlantic Drive, Achill Island

It’s a great opportunity for people to experience the incredible whales, dolphins and porpoises found off our coast, while learning more about Ireland’s marine wildlife from local IWDG volunteers.
