Mayo school rise to challenge in support of Irish Guide Dogs

THE St. Joseph's Secondary School community in Foxford came together for an unforgettable challenge day in support of the Irish Guide Dogs.

Staff bravely volunteered to be pied, wear full school uniform for the day, shake balls out of a box, and even be soaked by students with sponges - all in the name of fundraising for a truly worthy cause.

The event was especially meaningful as Irish Guide Dogs have been so generous to the school through the support and companionship of their wonderful community dogs, Vader and Ulani, who bring so much joy and comfort to students and staff every day, through breakfast club, one on one support, going into classes and participating in many school events.

A huge well done to the fantastic core team of students who helped organise the day, encouraged staff to get involved, and worked tirelessly to generate an amazing €1,100 from the student body.

The energy, teamwork, and school spirit on display made the day a huge success and a brilliant example of the community coming together to give back.
