Cooler and cloudy for Mayo on Thursday

Thursday will bring a mostly cloudy morning to Mayo, with patchy light rain, drizzle and mist in places.

There will still be a good deal of dry weather through the day, with limited sunny spells breaking through at times.

Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees, in moderate southeasterly winds veering southwesterly and freshening along coasts.

Thursday night will see a good deal of cloud in the north and west with patchy light rain and drizzle continuing.

Lowest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh south to southwest winds, easing light from the south later.

Looking ahead, Friday is expected to be largely dry with plenty of sunshine, before the Bank Holiday weekend turns cooler and more unsettled, with rain spreading eastwards on Saturday and a mix of cloud, sunny spells and scattered showers on Sunday.
