Mayo set for wet start to weekend with brighter spells to follow
Saturday will bring a cloudy and wet morning to Mayo, with rain and drizzle clearing northeastwards through the morning hours.
Bright spells and isolated showers will follow through the afternoon.
Cloud will build again in the evening with rain and drizzle developing near coastal areas.
Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees with light northerly winds becoming light to moderate westerly behind the clearing rain.
Saturday night will bring a good deal of cloud, with rain and drizzle persisting mainly along the west and northwest coast.
It will hold mostly dry further inland with some clear spells.
Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds, fresh to strong in western coastal parts.
Sunday will start cloudy with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread from the west through the morning, some of it heavy.
Brighter conditions with sunshine and showers will push into western and northwestern parts during the afternoon.
Some of the showers may turn heavy later, especially in the northwest.
Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
