Civic reception to be extended to Mayo Concert Orchestra to mark 30th anniversary

Castlebar Municipal District is to extend a civic reception to Mayo Concert Orchestra to mark its 30th anniversary.

The organisation, with the assistance of their friends in music from across the country, staged a sell-out concert last month at the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar, to celebrate the milestone.

The concert featured the cinema music of renowned composers Ennio Morricone, John Williams and Hans Zimmer

Civic Receptions are also being extended by the council to St. Gerald's College basketball team on winning the All-Ireland Schools Cup Final Under 14 title and the St. Joseph’s Secondary School basketball team on lifting the All-Ireland Schoolgirls Minor B National League crown.
