One change to Mayo team for Tyrone test

Mayo GAA senior football team manager Andy Moran has made one change to the starting line-up for the meeting with Tyrone in Round 2A of the All-Ireland series.

Bob Tuohy returns to the Mayo midfield to partner Jack Carney, with Stephen Coen dropping to the bench.

Mayo edged past Monaghan in Clones by a single point in a Round 1 clash last Sunday week, and return to Ulster on Sunday (June 14) to play Tyrone in O'Neills Healy Park, Omagh. The throw-in time is 3.30 p.m.

Tickets must be purchased in advance from selected Centra and SuperValu shops or online via Ticketmaster.

The Mayo starting team for Sunday's clash is as follows: Jack Livingstone; Jack Coyne, Donnacha McHugh, Enda Hession; Sam Callinan, David McBrien, Diarmuid Duffy; Bob Tuohy, Jack Carney; Hugh O'Loughlin, Conor Loftus, Jordan Flynn; Darragh Beirne, Ryan O'Donoghue, Kobe McDonald.

On the subs' bench are: Rob Hennelly, Fenton Kelly, Paddy Durcan, Eoin McGreal, Conal Dawson, Aidan O'Shea, Stephen Coen, Paul Towey, Diarmuid O'Connor, Tommy Conroy, Cian McHale.

Last year, Mayo defeated Tyrone by seven points (2-17 to 1-13) in Healy Park, and they have beaten the Ulster men three times in their last five championship meetings. However, Tyrone won the All-Ireland final meeting between the counties in 2021 on a scoreline of 2-14 to 0-15.

Overall, Sunday's meeting will be the eighth championship encounter between them, with Mayo winning four to Tyrone’s three.
