New garda superintendent appointed to Mayo

Superintendent Gerard McEntee has been appointed to Ballina Garda Station.

He will have responsibility for Mayo North Community Engagement Functional Area.

His appointment has taken effect.

Meanwhile, Superintendent Patrick McGirl has been appointed to Roscommon Garda Station, with responsibility for Mayo/Roscommon/Longford Performance Assurance Functional Area.
