Wet start for Mayo with brighter spells developing

Mayo will see the day begin damp across the county.

Rain in the morning will turn patchier and more intermittent as the day goes on, with the odd bright spell possible.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees. Light southerly winds.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy, with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading northwards.

It will be a mild and humid night.

Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.

Light to moderate southerly winds, increasing moderate to occasionally fresh overnight.

Looking further ahead, Friday will bring another wet start with rain in all areas at first.

Brighter, drier and showery conditions will develop in the west through the morning.

Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Saturday looks set to be drier, with sunny spells and just a chance of an odd light shower.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.

Sunday may start dry before rain pushes up from the south, mainly affecting the western half of the country.
