Canada, dog parks and dereliction tax feature in latest Mayo podcast

The latest episode of All Ireland Whingers sees the panel tackle a diverse range of topics, from a Canadian prime minister's Mayo roots to the future of Ireland's derelict sites levy.

Host Aidan Crowley is joined by Caoimhín Rowland and Dr. Richard Martin to discuss the homecoming visit of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to Aughagower and Westport.

The conversation then takes a lighter turn as Dr. Martin reveals he has become disillusioned with football and instead found a new lease of life during a visit to Castlebar's newly opened dog park.

Politics remains firmly on the agenda, with the panel debating Tánaiste Simon Harris's proposal for a united Ireland.

The episode also features a short interview with Minister of State Alan Dillon, who discusses the Government's proposal to transfer responsibility for collecting the derelict sites levy from local authorities to the Revenue Commissioners.

Homecoming and Hounds is available now on Spotify and all major podcast platforms.
