Mayo's Status Yellow heat warning extended

The Status Yellow high temperature warning for Mayo will now remain in place until 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Expected temperatures in excess of 27 degrees and night time temperatures in excess of 15 degrees can cause heat stress and uncomfortable sleeping conditions.

There is also a risk of forest fires.
