Mayo to face Louth in All-Ireland semi-final
Mayo will face Louth in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship semi-final.
The draw was made in Croke Park this evening (Sunday) following the last of the four quarterfinals between Galway and Dublin, a game won by the Dubs.
Earlier in the day, Louth defeated Monaghan to earn their place in the last four for the first time since 1957.
Dublin will face reigning All-Ireland champions Kerry in the other semi-final.
Kerry and Mayo won through to the last four yesterday (Saturday) with victories over Tyrone and Cork respectively.
The semi-final games will be played over the weekend of July 11/12. Exact fixture details will be confirmed tomorrow (Monday).
Mayo's clash against Louth will revive memories of the 1950 All-Ireland final when Mayo overcame Louth by 2-5 to 1-6.
Meanwhile, Mayo have injury doubts over Eoin McGreal and Paddy Durcan ahead of the match while Diarmuid O'Connor will return to action.
