Mayo set for brighter spell after cloudy start Tuesday
Mayo will start Tuesday cloudy, with patchy light rain, drizzle and mist for a time in the morning.
Conditions will gradually turn sunnier through the morning and into the afternoon.
Highest temperatures will reach 17 degrees along the west coast, rising to the low twenties further east. Winds will be light to moderate westerly.
Tuesday night will be dry for most, with clear spells developing. A few mist and fog patches may form before cloud increases again from the west overnight.
Lowest temperatures will fall to 12 to 15 degrees in light, variable breezes.
Dry weather will dominate for the rest of the week and into the weekend, with increasing sunshine and rising temperatures.
Wednesday will bring clearing mist and fog in the morning, followed by a mainly dry day.
Highest temperatures will range from 18 to 20 degrees in the west, climbing higher further east.
Warmer conditions will build through Thursday and Friday, with temperatures reaching the mid to high twenties and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms later in the week.
Very warm or hot conditions will continue into next weekend, with temperatures generally in the mid to high twenties.
