Up and Coming Mayo musician to release his debut single

19 year old singer and songwriter, Cillian Coleman is releasing his debut single, ‘City Lights’, on Friday, July 10.

Originally from Dunmore county Galway but now living near Ballyhaunis his new song is a country-pop folk song.

Cillian Coleman described the song as exploring “The themes of a childhood friend leaving home to work abroad.

Lots of people in Ireland can relate to this, whether it’s a family member, friend, or someone you know.”

Cillian added, “This song speaks about the memories made as kids, and how times have changed from then to now. It also discusses how we’d all love to go back to being children, and making memories in the summer time.”

Cillian finished by saying, “‘City Lights’ is an emotive acoustic-driven country pop folk song featuring story telling, personal lyrics about emigration, and a catchy heart felt chorus with a summer vibe and feel.”

The song was produced, mixed, and mastered by professional producer Gavin Doyle. Doyle has worked with many well known musicians, such as Jamie McIntyre, Dawna, and John Luke, just to name a few.

Cillian is swiftly making a name for himself in the local music scene and is certainly one to watch out for in the future.

Last December, Cillian had the privilege of playing backstage with the well known band, ‘Kingfishr’, after their performance in the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar.

‘City Lights’ is scheduled for official release this Friday, July 10, on all platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)
