Mayo team named for All-Ireland junior camogie final

The Mayo team for the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Junior Camogie Championship final against Monaghan has been announced.

The match will be played in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, Longford, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 11 – a potential stop-off for Mayo fans making their way to Croke Park for the All-Ireland Men's Senior Football Championship semi-final clash with Louth that evening.

The named Mayo team in full is as follows: Grainne Robinson; Megan O'Malley, Megan Deely, Grainne Delaney; Kate Scahill, Caoimhe Delaney, Éabha Delaney; Niamh Kennedy, Niamh Greally; Méabh Tunney, Lisa Scahill, Ava Dooley; Brona Joyce, Cathy Greally, Ella Deely.

The listed subs are: Róisín Toland, Treasa Conway, Róisín Cassidy, Ciara Kennedy, Amy Murray, Laoise Greally, Sharron Lynskey, Hannah Tener, Alannah Donaghy, Kaitlyn McNally, Aoife Quinn, Doireann Guilfoyle, Shauna Peoples, Clodagh Quinn, Aisling Dooley. The extended panel features Ava Lambert and Kate Tener.

Mayo secured their place in the final with a 0-16 to 1-5 semi-final victory over Louth, gaining sweet revenge against the side that defeated them in the opening round of the championship.

The championship final, meanwhile, is a repeat of the league final between Mayo and Monaghan earlier in the season, a game the westerners won on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-6.
