Parking issues with disability spaces in Mayo's Marian village
THE yellow and blue boxes on the road outside the church gates in Knock need a paint refresh.
They have faded and people are now parking in the disability boxes, Councillor Deirdre Lawless has highlighted.
It is making it difficult for dropping off people who use wheelchairs and causing congestion as people have to double park in order to get in and out of the church grounds, she said.
Councillor Lawless brought the matter to the attention of council management at a municipal district meeting, urging it be looked at urgently given that is is the busy summer season.
