Mayo man makes a name for himself in New York's Times Square

Huge congratulations to Ballyhaunis native Brendan Waldron, from Holywell, who has reached an incredible milestone by ringing the opening bell at the Nasdaq Stock Market in New York for Happen Bank.

And as if that wasn't enough, Brendan also featured on the iconic Times Square billboard – a fantastic feat.

It's always wonderful to see people from the west of Ireland making their mark on the world stage, as Brendan did so proudly..

Brendan has seven years experience as a debit card portfolio manager with Happen Bank in New York.

Following his graduation from Ballyhaunis Community School in 2007, he studied at NUI Galway.

He is son of Walter and the late Catherine (née Feeney) Waldron, Holywell.
