Tributes to popular Mayo supermarket staff member on her passing
Parishioners of Ballyhaunis were very saddened to learn of the very sad and very sudden passing on June 30 last of Anne Moylan, a much-loved and dedicated member of staff at SuperValu in Ballyhaunis, where she gave unstinting service for the past 25 years.
Anne, from Foxborough, Ballinlough, worked at her place of employment right up to the day before she passed so suddenly to her eternal reward at her home in Ballinlough.
Nolan’s SuperValu, where Anne worked, posted the following tribute to their dearly loved employee and colleague following the news of her death.
“We are all absolutely heartbroken over the unexpected passing of our lovely friend and colleague Anne.
"Anne was a long-standing part of the SuperValu family having spent close on 25 years working here, first alongside the Ryan family and in latter years, with all of us.
“Over those years, Anne made friends with everyone she worked with, young and not so young, it didn't matter, Anne found common ground with us all.
"She was extremely kind-hearted, straight shooting, hard working, very funny and much softer than she'd ever like you to think, she had a huge heart.
“We are all going to miss her so, so much. Our thoughts and prayers are with Anne's partner Milo, brothers Frank and John and all her relatives and many friends at this very sad time.
“Rest in peace Anne. We'll really miss you.”
One of the very many tributes to Anne posted on Facebook read: “Anne was the beating heart of SuperValu.”
Another said: “Anne will be missed by so many. I loved meeting her several times a week for the chat and she was always so interested in our kids, how they were doing, where they were.
"She always greeted them by name. She took a real interest in people’s lives and wellbeing. We will miss her individuality, humour and kindness.”
Anne’s remains were removed from McDonagh’s Funeral Home, Castlerea, to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballinlough, where the Requiem Mass was celebrated.
Anne was laid to rest afterwards in Ballinlough Cemetery.
May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
