Mayo will wear white jersey in All-Ireland Football Final

Mayo will wear an alternative white jersey in Sunday week’s All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final.

Kerry won yesterday’s coin toss to decide which county would wear their home strip.

Kerry’s green and gold may have clashed with Mayo’s initial second jersey (predominately dark navy blue) which they wore at home to Meath in the All-Ireland Series.

The GAA have now confirmed that Mayo will wear a predominately white jersey for the All-Ireland Final, similar to the commemorative jersey against Kerry in the National League last March.

The decision to wear a white jersey appears to be well-received by Mayo supporters.

The last time Mayo wore a white jersey in a Senior All-Ireland Football Final was in 1951 against Meath.
