Referee confirmed for All-Ireland final between Mayo and Kerry
The GAA has today confirmed that Martin McNally from Monaghan will be the referee for this year's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final between Mayo and Kerry on Sunday, July 26, in Croke Park, Dublin.
It will be Martin’s first senior final but it won't be his first time officiating Mayo this year as he already took charge of the westerners' quarterfinal against Cork.
He also refereed the All-Ireland series games involving Armagh and Derry and Dublin and Donegal, as well as Louth v Wexford and Kildare v Westmeath in the Leinster Championship
A member of Corduff GAA Club, Martin has refereed some major games in his career. He took charge of the All-Ireland Under 20 final in 2023 and the All-Ireland senior club final in 2026, along with the Leinster football finals in 2021 and 2025 and the Ulster football final in 2024.
The All-Ireland final will be Martin’s 32nd senior inter-county championship game to referee since his first in 2018.
His score umpires on the day will be Ben Woods, Niall Reilly, Mark Gilsenan and Anthony Marron, all from the Corduff club in Monaghan.
His line umpires on the day will be Tyrone’s Sean Hurson and Thomas Murphy, Galway. Sean will be the standby referee, and the sideline official will be Sean Lonergan from Tipperary. Killan Jones from Kildare will be the Hawkeye official, while Marty Duffy from Sligo will be the time official.
The All-Ireland final between Mayo and Kerry will throw-in at 3.30 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, in Croke Park, Dublin.
