Mayo set for another dry and sunny weekend

Mayo will enjoy more dry weather this weekend with spells of hazy sunshine.

Highest temperatures will reach 18 to 26 degrees, with the warmest values well away from coasts.

Northerly breezes will be no more than moderate in strength, freshening for coastal areas later this afternoon and into the evening.

Tonight will stay dry with clear spells and light to moderate northerly breezes.

Temperatures will be fresher than recent nights, dropping to lows of 9 to 12 degrees.

Saturday will bring more dry weather with good sunny spells and moderate northerly breezes.

Highest temperatures will reach 17 to 25 degrees, again best inland and away from the coast.

Looking further ahead, high pressure will remain dominant into next week.

Sunday will be dry with hazy sunshine and light northerly breezes, though Mayo will be cooler and cloudier than Leinster and Munster, with top temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.

Monday to Wednesday will stay largely dry with moderate northwest breezes, though it will turn cloudy and damp at times, with highs of 16 to 22 degrees.
