Mayo agricultural show to host All-Ireland final big-screen
The Erris Agricultural Show will host a big-screen viewing of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final between Mayo and Kerry on the show grounds, organisers have confirmed.
The large screen will be erected on site, allowing show-goers to catch all the action from Croke Park without leaving the grounds of the Belmullet Aerodome at Carne.
A new bar will also feature at this year's show, supplied by the Western Strands Hotel. It marks the first time the event has had an on-site bar.
Two competitions will run in the marquee alongside the bar. The first, Best Mullet in Belmullet, will be judged and announced on the day.
The second, Best Dressed Mayo Person, invites show-goers to turn out in their county colours for a chance to be crowned in the marquee.
Transport to and from the show has also been arranged.
Corduff Travel will sponsor a match-day shuttle service running on the hour, with a return service operating from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. as required.
Organisers are billing the event as a great day out for all the family, combining traditional agricultural show attractions with the added draw of the county's biggest game of the year.
