The Sam Maguire Cup celebration party moves to north Mayo

Players will gather in Foxford to carrying the Sam Maguire Cup across the River Moy

An Garda Siochana has offered the following information in relation to traffic management and safety as Ballina prepare to host the homecoming of the All Ireland-champions Mayo

The venue for this event will be James Stephens Park the home of Ballina Stephenites.

The gates open at 2 p.m. and the players are due to arrive around 3 p.m.

Traffic disruption is anticipated in and around Ballina from early this afternoon.

Please be advised that no parking is permitted in the ground or in the vicinity of James Stephens Park and restrictions will apply on approach roads.

Free parking is available throughout Ballina town and at The Mart Car Park on Crossmolina Road.

Supporters are asked to park legally, arrive early, and follow the directions of Gardaí and event stewards.

Provision will be made for drivers with disabled parking badges.

Gardaí remind the public that this is a strictly alcohol-free event.
