SATURDAY was John McTaggart's captain's day at Mulranny Golf Club, with over 60 players taking part in a very successful competition.

Emerging as winner on the day was John Gavin.

The main prize winners were: 1st John Gavin 65, 2nd Tim Crowley 66, 3rd Martin Moylette 68, gross Michael Joyce 77, past captain's Colin Cooney 69, 4th Tom Duffy* 66, 5th Paddy Burke* 67, 6th John Gallagher 68 (countback), 7th Tomas Mannion 68 (countback), 8th Shane McManamon 68 (* 4 scorecards requirement).

Ladies nine-hole: 1st Caroline Hastings 22, 2nd Elaine McNamara 19.
