Cool and breezy Wednesday ahead for Mayo
Wednesday will be rather windy and fresher than recently.
Met Eireann forecast that it will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, while it'll be mainly dry further south with some sunny spells.
Highest temperatures will range from 14 to 17 degrees in moderate to fresh and occasionally gusty westerly winds, stronger in western and northern parts of the province.
Wednesday night will be cloudy for a time across some northern areas, with outbreaks of rain, but the rain will ease and clear eastwards through the first half of the night.
Otherwise there'll be a mix of cloud, clear spells and a scattering of showers, these becoming mostly confined to parts of the west and north.
Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with the westerly winds continuing to ease mostly light to moderate.
WEEK OUTLOOK
Fresher with a good deal of dry weather on Thursday and probably for many on Friday too, with just a scattering of showers.
The weekend will be more unsettled for a time, with rain Friday night and Saturday, followed by a brighter day on Sunday with sunshine and a scattering of showers.
