Mayo set for late summer burst with temperatures set to climb

Mayo will enjoy a dry day on Monday, with sunny spells developing, although it will turn hazy at times as the day goes on.

Lowest temperatures overnight will fall to between 11 and 15 degrees, with a light southeasterly breeze.

Tuesday will be warm and dry for most, with good spells of sunshine, although it will stay cloudier near the west coast with occasional patches of rain or drizzle.

Highest temperatures will reach 21 to 26 degrees, with a mostly moderate southerly breeze.

Wednesday will remain dry with sunshine, though cloudier conditions and outbreaks of rain will affect the west and northwest.

It will be a warm or hot day, with highest temperatures of 22 to 28 degrees.

Thursday looks set to bring another warm or hot day, with sunny spells and scattered showers that will turn heavy at times.

Highest temperatures will again reach 22 to 28 degrees, with light to moderate southwesterly breezes.

A more settled but cooler end to the week is expected further out, with temperatures easing back closer to average.
