Tributes paid to young Mayo mother whose warmth reached everyone
THERE is deep sadness following the death of Samantha Quigley, An Sruthan, and formerly of Ballyheane, Castlebar.
A treasured mother and much-loved friend to many, Samantha passed suddenly but peacefully at the Mater Hospital, Dublin.
Samantha's bubbly personality, which won her many friends, and her love for her family are being remembered in online tributes on rip.ie.
A friend recalled: 'Samantha's sudden passing is a loss that feels impossible to hold. She was so full of love, joy, and life - a young mother whose warmth reached everyone around her. Even from across the world, she never felt far away. Our long conversations via phone meant more to me than I can ever express, and I will carry them with me always.
'Her light was extraordinary. Her love for her children was fierce and beautiful. Her spirit was vibrant, kind, and unforgettable. The world feels quieter without her in it.'
Another paid tribute: 'Worked with Sammy in Allergan, always guaranteed a laugh and many a great story after her weekends out. Sammy's two girls Lucy and Shauna-Rose were her pride and joy, and she could never mention them without beaming with pride.'
'Samantha was so beautiful and stylish, great fun to be around and always smiling. Fond memories of years gone by,' said another.
Samantha was predeceased by her dad Anthony, her grandparents, aunts and uncles.
She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, treasured daughters Lucy (Mark) and Shauna Rose (Sean), her mum Christina and her partner Larry, brother Lorcan and step-brother Colin (Castlebar), aunts Aine, Michelle, Teresa, Josephine, Geraldine and Angela, uncles P.J. and John, cousins, neighbours and a wide circle of friends, to whom sympathy is extended on their great loss.
Remains reposing at Ballyheane Community Centre on Thursday evening from 4 p.m., with removal at 7 p.m. to St. Patrick's Church, Ballyheane. Funeral Mass on Friday at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
