Counting down to show day in Swinford

THIS year's Swinford Agricultural Show will take place on Sunday, August 23.

The show again returns to Tony Gleeson’s Farm in Cullane, Swinford, after a very successful move to this new location last year.

There will be a free shuttle bus for the day from the bus stop on Main Street in Swinford courtesy of Walsh's Bus Hire.

People with cups and plaques are asked to please return them to the show office, which is open from Tuesday, August 18, to Friday, August 21, at the Tower Gift Shop on Main Street.

If you have never attended an agricultural show before, now is your chance to experience the atmosphere and excitement that makes this a very special event in the life of the town.

There is something for everybody at this year's show, including home industries, photography, pets corner, craft village, face painting, dog show, along with cattle, sheep and horse classes and more. There will also be live music throughout the day.
