Second natural horsemanship workshop with Mayo trainer
WILD Atlantic Horsemanship has announced its second natural horsemanship workshop with Paul Walker, taking place on Saturday, August 30, at 10.30 a.m., once again in the beautiful surrounds of Mulranny Beach.
Wild Atlantic Horsemanship highlights the natural horsemanship approach of Newport horse trainer Paul Walker.
With over 30 years of experience training wild horses in Chile, Paul has developed a calm, practical and respectful method of training that focuses on understanding the horse rather than forcing the horse. His work is rooted in natural horsemanship, using clear communication, patience and consistency to help horses become calmer, safer and more willing partners.
Paul’s approach to natural horsemanship reflects the same horse-centred principles associated with renowned trainer John Lyons, where the focus is on building trust, using clear cues, and helping the horse understand what is being asked. Rather than relying on pressure or fear, Paul works with the horse’s natural instincts, encouraging confidence, softness and cooperation.
Through Wild Atlantic Horsemanship, Paul teaches horse owners and riders how to develop a stronger connection with their horses. His training helps people understand how horses think, how they react, and how to guide them in a simple, gentle and effective way.
“Good horsemanship is built on leadership, respect and trust. When a horse understands you and trusts you, training becomes clearer, safer and better for both horse and handler,” says Paul.
Wild Atlantic Horsemanship offers demonstrations and training sessions for people who want to improve their horsemanship skills and build a better partnership with their horse.

Following on from the first workshop with Cíon, this event will showcase more groundwork and first rides techniques, with improved bridle work for softness and safety.
