Mayo charity announces decision to close shop
The NWSPCA, a dedicated animal charity based in Ballina, has announced its decison to close its shop at Linenhall Street, Castlebar.
A notice on the shop window states: "Due to retirement, our shop will cease trading on Saturday, August 29."
The outlet is no longer accepting donations while a sale of existing stock is ongoing.
However, donations can be left at the organisation's other shop at Market Square in Ballina.
A spokesperson for the NWSPCA has thanked the people of Castlebar for their wonderful support over the years which was greatly appreciated.
The charity is run entirely by volunteers who give their time to provide services such as rescuing and rehabilitating abandoned or neglected animals.
