Botox producers AbbVie paid €370 million in Irish corporation tax last year, a report in the Irish Independent has revealed.
The figure amounts to just under a third of total non-US taxes paid by the company in 2025, according to its latest filed accounts.
Net profit was just over $4.2 billion , down slightly on the previous two years.
That brings its “effective” income tax rate to 36pc in 2025, the accounts outlined.
Under EU rules, companies now have to publicly disclose the country-by-country breakdown of where they pay their income taxes.
AbbVie employs around 2,900 employees across five manufacturing facilities in Westport, Cork, Dublin and Sligo.
