Mayo GAA stars bring Sam Maguire to grave of former teammate

Four members of Mayo's All-Ireland-winning squad have made a poignant visit with the Sam Maguire to the grave of former Mayo star, Darragh Doherty.

Stephen Coen and Diarmuid O’Connor captured the All-Ireland minor football championship tite alongside Darragh in 2013.

They visited the grave accompanied by fellow Mayo senior teammates Enda Hession and Tommy Conroy.

Darragh was a prominent member of the Mayo minor panel, scoring 4-9 in the side that captured provincial and All-Ireland titles 13 years ago.

The Kilmaine footballer died in a road accident on August 23, 2015, at the age of 19.
