Woman in her 80s dies from injuries sustained in Mayo traffic collision

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses to a serious injury road traffic collision that occurred at Glebe Street, Ballinrobe, last Thursday at approximately 4.20 p.m.

This collision involved a car and a pedestrian.

The female pedestrian (aged in her 80s) was conveyed from the scene to Mayo University Hospital.

She has since passed away from her injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area of the N84 / Glebe Street, Ballinrobe, between 3.50 and 4.50 p.m. on Thursday are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
