Mayo rounders club aim for All-Ireland double

Breaffy Rounders Club are busily preparing for two upcoming senior All-Ireland Final appearances. The Breaffy Rounders ladies’ senior team are aiming to win their fifth All-Ireland title in a row when they face Dublin side Limekiln in Abbotstown, on Sunday, August 30, at 3.30 p.m. Breaffy will come into this game on the back of an unbeaten season to date and as well as chasing an historic five in a row, victory would secure the team their sixth All-Ireland title in seven seasons. Breaffy have a nice blend of youth and experience, and this could be vital in their quest for the silverware. The team’s captain is Michelle Hopkins, with Katie Jordan vice-captain.

The Breaffy ladies’ team is managed by Seamus Lunn, Colm Jordan, and Steve Jordan.

The Breaffy mixed senior team will be in All-Ireland Final action on Sunday, September 13, when they face Glynn-Barntown from Wexford. The contest will take place in Mallow, Cork, and the action will get underway at 3.30 p.m.

The Breaffy mixed team are looking to win their third All-Ireland senior rounders title in a row after victorious campaigns in 2024 and 2025. The squad is built on strong ladies’ and men’s teams and have gone through the 2026 season unbeaten so far. Their team is littered with experienced players and, on their day, are a match for anyone. The teams’ joint captains are Colm Jordan, and Michelle Hopkins, and the side is managed by Seamus Lunn, Steve Jordan, and Ciara Groonell.
