Mixed spell of weather ahead for Mayo

MAYO will see a mixture of showers and brighter spells tomorrow, with some heavy bursts and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms, according to the latest forecast from Met Éireann.

The county will start the day largely cloudy, with scattered showers expected.

Some of these could be heavy, while there is also a chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Conditions are expected to improve gradually through the day, with sunny spells becoming more widespread as the afternoon progresses.

Temperatures will remain relatively mild, reaching around 17 to 21 degrees across the county, with light to moderate easterly or southeasterly winds.

Met Éireann's latest national forecast describes Wednesday as beginning cloudy for most areas before brighter conditions develop, while showers will remain possible.

The unsettled pattern is expected to continue into the latter part of the week, with further showers or spells of rain forecast, although temperatures are expected to remain in the high teens to low twenties for much of the period.
