Mayo centenarian gets surprise visitor on trip home from UK

A Mayo centenarian received a surprise visitor on a trip home from the UK.

Nora Beisty (née Brennan), at the young age of 101, was surprised by a visit from Sam Maguire when she visited Kiltimagh last week.

Nora grew up in Cleragh, Kiltimagh, and now resides in Manchester, where she spent much of her life.

A frequent visitor over the years to her family in Kiltimagh, Nora, along with two of her daughters, flew into Ireland West Airport and is delighted the airport has given her the opportunity to come home regularly.

A Kiltimagh and Mayo woman at heart, Mayo’s win was a huge source of pride for Nora and her family.
