Help shape future of Mayo's Lough Lannagh Park

A master plan is being developed for Lough Lannagh Park in Castlebar, and public input is being sought to help shape the future vision for the popular amenity.

A series of public workshops will be taking place, kicking off next week.

The framework will establish a shared vision and strategic roadmap to guide the sustainable, inclusive and holistic development of the lake.

The plan will be developed over the next four months through a co-design process, with the community's voice involved throughout.

What would you like to see at Lough Lannagh Park in the years ahead? Mayo County Council is inviting the local community to share ideas, identify challenges and opportunities, and help create a vision for the future of this much-loved Castlebar amenity.

Three public workshops will take place as part of the process. The first workshop is ‘Storytelling’, where the team will seek to understand the park through the stories and understanding of the local community. It is an opportunity to share your experiences of Lough Lannagh, what matters to you, and your ideas for bringing new life to the park.

The workshop takes place on September 7 from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m. at Lough Lannagh Lodge.
