Proposed changes to parking charges in west Mayo district

CHANGES to parking charges in Westport and Murrisk are being considered.

Mayo County Council has invited members of the public, businesses, community groups and all interested stakeholders to participate in a public consultation about proposed changes to parking charges in Westport town and Murrisk.

The proposed changes are being considered to support the effective management of parking, improve accessibility, encourage turnover of parking spaces in key town centre locations, and contribute to the ongoing maintenance and development of parking infrastructure.

Details of the proposed amendments are available for inspection online at consult.ie, or at the Westport Civic Offices on Altamont Street, Westport.

The public inspection period commenced on August 25 and will remain open until September 15. Following the inspection period, formal written feedback and observations can be submitted until September 29.
