Rain and blustery conditions on the way for Mayo tomorrow

MAYO is set for a wet and unsettled day tomorrow, with heavy rain at times before brighter spells and showers develop later.

Met Éireann’s latest forecast for Connacht indicates that Monday will begin mostly dry, but rain will soon develop in the west and spread across the county during the morning and early afternoon.

The rain could be heavy at times, with thundery falls possible, before clearing from the west during the afternoon.

As the rain moves away, sunny spells and scattered showers will follow, particularly later in the afternoon and into the evening.

It will also be a breezy day, with fresh and gusty southerly winds changing westerly as the day progresses.

Temperatures across Connacht are expected to reach 14 to 18 degrees, with Mayo likely towards the cooler end of that range.

Further unsettled weather is expected into Tuesday, with sunny spells, scattered showers and fresh, gusty westerly winds forecast.
