Mayo set for cool and blustery day with showers forecast
MAYO is set for a cool and blustery day tomorrow, Tuesday, with sunny spells and scattered showers expected across the county.
According to the latest forecast from Met Éireann, the day will bring broken spells of sunshine and occasional showers, with fresh to strong and gusty winds adding to the autumnal feel.
The strongest winds are expected along exposed coastal areas, with west to northwest winds affecting much of the county.
Temperatures will reach a high of around 16 degrees, while overnight temperatures are expected to fall to around 9 degrees.
The showers are expected to become less frequent during the evening, with winds gradually easing.
A "Yellow marine warning" is in place for strong west to northwest winds along the Irish coast, including the Mayo coastline, during Tuesday.
Looking beyond Tuesday, conditions are expected to remain changeable, with some sunshine but further rain and showers likely at times during the remainder of the week.
