Gardaí investigating break-in to Mayo shop by suspects wearing balaclavas

Gardaí in Mayo are investigating a break-in to a premises in east Mayo.

It took place at the Mobile Ink Store, located on Main Street, Ballyhaunis.

The suspects caused considerable damage to the premises before removing items with an estimated value of over €1,000.

It is reported by Midwest Radio that shortly before midnight last night two men wearing balaclavas broke through the front window of the premises, using a beer keg.

They felt from the scene after the alarm was raised.

An appeal has issued for witnesses to come forward.
