Sadness in Mayo community over passing of Patrick Francis Keane
The death of Patrick Francis Keane, Keelogues New, Ballyvary, Castlebar, and formerly of Cloonlavish, Knock and Manchester, U.K., has evoked feelings of great sadness and loss.
He died peacefully last Thursday surrounded by his sons.
Predeceased by his parents and his brother John, he is deeply regretted by his sons Paul, Brendan, Christopher and Kevin, their spouses and partners, his ten grandchildren, his brother, sisters, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends, to whom sympathy is extended.
"He was a gentleman and such a character and I will remember the chats and cups of tea with great fondness," one tribute on social media stated.
"He was a total gentleman and I have such lovely memories of him," another tribute stated.
Patrick will repose at Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Castlebar, this evening (Sunday) from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Remains will arrive at St. Joseph’s Church, Keelogues, on Monday at 11 a.m. for Requiem Mass at 11.30am.
Afterwards Patrick will be laid to rest in Keelogues Cemetery.
