Warm conditions expected to start the week for Mayo

MAYO is set for a warmer and largely dry day on Monday, with sunny spells developing after a cloudier and misty start.

Met Éireann is forecasting a little cloud and mist during the morning, with sunny spells breaking through during the afternoon.

There will be plenty of dry weather across the county, with light southwesterly breezes.

Temperatures will rise to between 18 and 21 degrees, with conditions feeling warm and humid.

Monday night will remain very mild and humid, with plenty of dry weather and some clear spells.

However, there will be patches of mist and drizzle in western and northwestern areas.

Temperatures are expected to remain between 13 and 16 degrees overnight.

The settled spell will not last, with Met Éireann forecasting more widespread rain across Connacht on Tuesday as a frontal system moves across the country.
