Bill Whelan to speak at West X West conference in Mayo
Internationally acclaimed composer and musician Bill Whelan will be among the headline cultural voices at this year’s West X West, taking place in Castlebar October 15 and 16.
The Grammy-winning composer, best known for creating the music for Riverdance, will take to the stage at the TF Royal Theatre for a special conversation as part of the two-day tech, venture and cultural festival.
West X West brings together founders, international investors, enterprise leaders and leading cultural figures for two days of panel discussions, keynote interviews, founder activity and live performances.
The 2026 programme features more than 50 speakers, 48 Irish founders, 14 institutional investors representing over €10 billion in investment capacity, and 18 live acts, alongside a programme of cultural interviews, music, comedy and spoken word.
Bill Whelan’s appearance at the TF Royal Theatre adds another major cultural voice to an ambitious programme celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity in the west.
