Mayo set for strong winds and heavy rain tomorrow

Mayo is braced for a wild and wet spell of weather tomorrow, with strong winds and heavy rain expected to sweep across the county.

Early bright spells will give way to increasingly cloudy conditions, with rain and drizzle developing and becoming more persistent through the afternoon.

Winds will strengthen from the south, becoming fresh to strong and gusty, while temperatures will remain mild at between 17 and 19 degrees.

The unsettled conditions come as a deep Atlantic low pressure system moves close to Ireland, bringing a spell of wet and windy weather.
