Late Mayo man's comic book collection donated to County Library

A collection of comic books owned by the late Mark Faherty, formerly of Breaffy and Garryduff Drive, Castlebar, has been donated to the County Library, Castlebar.

They were presented by his parents Gerry and Margaret and brother Gerard to library staff member, Jim O'Connor, ahead of the recent Comic Fest event attended by a large number of children.

The family stated: "We were very thankful to Kayleigh, Orla, Jim and the staff of the library for kindly including Mark's comics in the celebration.

"It was a great honour to see his comics shared with the young comic fans of the town."
